Well, it has been almost a year since i put up that darn beam, and it has been plagued with one problem after another. The latest problem is the homemade current balun, which is supposed to keep RF current's off the feed-line. Because of this, whenever i pump the power up over 20 watts output, the SWR goes through the roof.
As a pleasant side-note, i have been working the world with only 5Watts of output power, and making some great contacts with the antenna.
I just dread the damn thing down to fix another problem with them antenna. It is easy enough to lower the sections of the mast, but getting them pulled back up is the biggest problem.
Makes for a nice project over the weekend though, so wish me luck
