
Wow, it sure is a lot of fun to fire up the little
DX-60 transmitter at times, and make low power contacts to the East coast using just 50W and CW. Just wish the damn
Hammarlund HQ-150 would behave tonight. The darn thing is jumping around all over the place, and it is hard to make a contact when you have to constantly adjust to follow what someone is sending. i also use it as a side-tone, since the Heathkit DX-60 doesn't have that built in. Hard to send when your tone is going up and down, while trying to master a vibroplex bug. I wouldn't have it any other way though. I guess I like the challenge.
