Recently dug out the Hallicrafters S85 out of the pile, and took the cover off to begin working on it. It was working at one time, but somehow along the move it quit. Not sure why exactly, but once i find the service manual for it online, I can begin digging into it, check all the voltages on the tube sockets, and run all the Cap's thru the checker, to see what is happening. Cosmetically, it is in almost mint condition, with only a small scratch along the top corner. It also needs to have the dial's restrung, which should be interesting, since I have never done that before. It is all just a learning process, right ?
