10 meters and f-layer propagation

Old school radio
It sounds like the 10 meter band (28 MHZ) is in good shape again this morning. Been working into Europe since 7AM, which is extremely hard to do most of the time from the Pacific Northwest potion of the states, with S9 signals, and now listening to a station in Senegal, Africa coming in with a strong signal work a steady stream of contacts as he call's CQ.
From what i have gathered, their is a big (read:BIG) 10M contest this weekend, so there are going to be lots of good DX (distant) stations on the band this week, as they warm up their stations, and work out any bugs that might be present to chase Murphy out of the hamshack.
Hope to see you on the band.
